ABOUT ME

I've been creating my entire life, from art to performance. Sculpture has always been one of my favorite mediums, and working with clay is best of all. When my son became an angel, I stopped making anything at all. The following year my parents joined him, and life became even darker. All I could feel was loss and grief.

During the pandemic I began to rediscover my world.
I started by exploring my surroundings on foot. I connected with the "tree spirits" that caught my eye in the woods. I started picking up driftwood, feathers, stones, and shells. Soon I was wondering how these beautiful artifacts of nature might be combined into something. Living sculptures were born.

Living sculptures are spirits that never die. They need to be nurtured. They are healing me, one by one.

MY MISSION

I hope to be able to inspire others who have experienced extreme loss or grief, and those who may have lost their will to live. Let yourself be loved until you can love yourself into living again.

Among those who have helped me to heal by loving me as I am through my dark days, are Kay Rosaire, Nancy Nallin, the Golden Girls of Sarasota, and the many others who inhabit the loving circle of men, women, children, and animals of the Big Cat Habitat community.

All proceeds from the sale of my sculptures throughout
2021-2022 will be donated to the Big Cat Habitat a non-profit animal sanctuary.

Founded in 1987 by Kay Rosaire, the non-profit sanctuary is a permanent home for dozens of exotic animals, offers placement for animals in need, and works to educate the public about animal care and conservation.
